HarborField Sourcing privacy policy

This notice describes how HarborField Sourcing handles information typed into the inquiry form. The service is an independent sourcing partner. It is not a manufacturer and does not claim authorized dealer status. The form posts to /service/feedback.act.

Fields that reach the server

The stored field names are name, email, phone, company, and content. Phone may be left blank. Product interest, currency, budget basis, and supplier preference are not separate server fields. When JavaScript runs, the browser adds those notes to the content payload for that submit only. The textarea on the page is not rewritten, so a later visit does not show an old summary inside the box. If JavaScript is off, you type those notes yourself in the requirement field.

Why the brief is read

The desk reads the brief to understand building use, specification, quantity, destination, timing, and scope, and to request quotations from other parties. Optional budget text is used only as your target. It is not treated as a price already negotiated.

What is not collected on this page

The pages do not ask for payment card numbers, government identity numbers, or drawings uploaded as files. If a document is needed, the follow-up will name the document and the channel. Do not put secrets into the form that you would not want a supplier to see, because the content field may be forwarded as part of the request.

Sharing

Contact details and the requirement text may be shared with factories or coordinators asked to quote the described scope. They are not sold as a marketing list. Brand names you type are reference context. Sharing them does not create an affiliation with that brand.

Retention and access

Briefs are kept long enough to compare quotations and to answer a follow-up on the same project. You may ask, through the same form, for a correction of the contact details you sent. Some records may remain where a quotation file has already been issued to a supplier.

Browser storage for the sourcing note

A separate sourcing note uses local storage for the first time it was shown and session storage if you close the note bar. That storage is not the inquiry form. Closing the bar does not change the first-shown time. The note is limited to seven days from the first display on that browser.
