A boxx modular search is the starting point for a brief, not a commitment to supply that brand. Write the use, the module dimensions, the design loads, the jurisdiction, the quantity, and the destination before any factory is asked for a number. A workable example is six modules, each 12 ft by 40 ft, with a 14 ft eave, when those are the buyer figures.
Review RFQ Checklist- UseOccupancy, relocatable or permanent intent, and the rooms the building must hold.
- DimensionsFootprint, eave height, bay spacing, clear span, and the transport envelope.
- LoadsDesign wind speed, wind exposure category, ground snow load, and seismic design category.

- DestinationDelivery place, site access, and who unloads or sets the units.
Six checks before a factory number is useful
These checks belong to the buyer brief. They are not a claim that HarborField Sourcing designs, fabricates, or approves the building.
Primary frame
Ask each supplier to name the primary frame, secondary framing, purlin and girt layout, and whether the proposal uses built-up plate, hot-rolled steel or cold-formed steel.
Envelope
Record cladding, roof, openings, insulated metal panel if that is the proposal, and the thermal transmittance or R-value the quote assumes.
Scope tag
Tag the quotation as shell, delivered, installed, or turnkey. A lower line that omits foundation work is not the same purchase as a set building.
Site interface
Note the foundation interface, crane lift plan, utility rough-in, and which party pulls permits for the project jurisdiction.
Document pack
Request drawings, calculations, and the weld or coating notes that apply to the quoted system. A brochure badge is not project approval.

Volumetric modular building
Use this path when more of the room finish is meant to leave the plant already assembled. The brief still needs module dimensions, the transport envelope, and a crane lift plan, because a finished box can be harder to move than a flat pack.
Portable project office
State headcount, planned months on site, stair and landing needs, and whether the unit must move again after the first setting.
Relocatable classroom
Separate a classroom module from a manufactured-housing path. Name the education occupancy and the authority having jurisdiction.
Linked site complex
When several units connect, list the corridor, the fire-resistance rating under discussion, and who designs the mate lines.
